A Mother’s Heart

A Mother's Heart

In my arms, so small and dear,
I hold you close, I hold you near.
Time flows swiftly, moments flee,
Yet in my heart, you’ll always be.

I watch you grow, each passing day,
From baby steps to dreams far away.
I long to shield, to keep you tight,
To guard you through each day and night.

But time, it whispers, let them fly,
With every tear, a silent sigh.
For though I wish to keep you close,
A mother’s love, it gently knows.

I cherish now, these fleeting years,
Your laughter bright, your tender tears.
Yet in my heart, I understand,
You’ll find your way, you’ll make your stand.

So with a kiss, I let you go,
With love unending, you must know.
Though miles may part, and paths divide,
A mother's love will ever abide.

In dreams you chase, and skies you roam,
Remember this will be your home.
For in my heart, you’ll always stay,
My child, my love, in every way.
